International SOS launches its Italian website, strengthening its commitment to organisations in the region

04 March 2021 ,  Milano

The website, presented during the Annual Conference, includes information on COVID-19 and Risk Map 2021.

International SOS, the world’s leading health and security services company, announced the launch of its website dedicated to the Italian market. The launch took place during the International SOS Italian Annual Conference. The responsive, easy-to-navigate website provides Italian organisations with a wealth of open access information. This is along with insight into how International SOS services can help protect organisations and their employees, including domestic employees, business travellers and assignees.

The homepage provides access to five macro-areas organised into subsections. These offer visitors a comprehensive look at some of the expertly verified news, analysis and documents produced by International SOS. This includes up-to-date insights on COVID-19, including advice on vaccines, in the form of infographics, white papers, pocket guides and brochures in Italian language.

The site also provides access to the International SOS Risk Maps 2021. This includes the latest insights into predicted risks for 2021, and the dynamic Risk Maps which provide regional level insight into analysis on health, security and COVID-19 risks.

In addition, there is useful advice and up-to-date information on a wealth of topics including Duty of Care, Global Security and specific International SOS services and support.

"We are delighted to be able to launch this site, dedicated to supporting Italy based organisations and their employees. We are firmly convinced, that health and prevention are, and will continue to be, at the heart of companies' concerns, and is where we can make a difference. But when it comes to health and safety, every place, every company, every country is different, which is why we decided a couple of years ago to open an office in Italy, in Milan, and now also a dedicated website which we hope will be useful to our Italian customers and those interested in protecting their employees from health and security risks. Our job has always been to provide information and intervene promptly to solve and manage at operational level all the critical issues related to the workforce of our clients, companies or public and private organisations operating worldwide. Let's not forget today the emerging risks such as psychological challenges related to varying modes of working, including working from home.” comments Pietro Di Comite, Head of Sales Italy of International SOS.

He underlines, “Since the beginning of the pandemic, requests to our assistance centres have increased fivefold for each journey. Furthermore, managers call now our Assistance Centres ten times as much as they previously did (per travelling employee) seeking our expert advice in decision-making. The very same manager community is also accessing our trusted and timely information with vigour: our pandemic website has been viewed indeed 100 times more each week (during the first wave of COVID-19 alone) than pre-pandemic times. Our service operates in 85 countries 24/7, including access to advice and support from our 10,000 experts including medical, security and logistics professionals."

About the International SOS Italian Annual Conference

The Annual Conference, as well as being the opportunity to present the new site, is the appointment that once a year brings together professionals in the field of health, security, travel management and risk management offering a moment of interactive discussion during which you can participate in a series of short learning sessions on topics related, for example, the health and security management, resilience of organisations and how they can ensure their business continuity amidst crisis.

This year the Italian Annual Conference was attended by over 230 organisations in four different sessions dedicated to the challenges related to the management of COVID-19 such as evacuations, repatriations and vaccines, round tables on the theme of "safe travel", corporate resilience and crisis management as well as a moment dedicated entirely to crisis management for those companies operating in some of the most remote sites in the world.

The speeches, coordinated by Cèdric Fraissinet, GM Italy-Switzerland of International SOS and Pietro Di Comite, Head of Sales Italy of International SOS, saw the active participation of some Italian companies partners of the event, including Bonatti, CFT Group, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, the law firm Gianni&Origoni, Hitachi Rail, Saipem, Webuild and the extraordinary presence of the Deputy Commissioner of the State Police, Dr. Giampietro Moscatelli. Finally, some health and safety experts from the Italian team of International SOS were present such as Dr Francesca Viliani and Dr Franco Fantozzi.
