International SOS eLearning Platform Helps Employees be Safe & Savvy Travellers

Developed for the organisation with a global workforce, the International SOS Training Hub hosts a series of eLearning modules to help travellers and expats mitigate their exposure to risks during their travels.

Travellers can learn how to mitigate their exposure to risk through courses on Travel Risk Awareness, Road Safety, Women Security Awareness, Malaria Awareness and Pandemic Preparedness.  

Organisations can use the International SOS Training Hub to support their Duty of Care efforts, as well as incorporate the training in their pre-travel processes. 

The course content is developed by International SOS’ experts with supporting content from the world’s leading organisations in the related subject. The Road Safety eLearning was developed in coordination with the Global Road Safety Partnership, a non-profit organisation focused on road safety, and the Travel Security modules were developed in collaboration with Control Risks, the world’s leading global risk consultancy. 

The traveller health modules leverage International SOS’ more than thirty years of experience advising clients on occupational health, safety, and travel health. Traveller education is an integral part of an organisation’s overall risk mitigation efforts and the Duty of Care they provide their employees.     

Training modules are available in multiple languages to support a global organisation’s diverse staff.

1. International Travel: Risks and Reality is an Ipsos Global advisor research study conducted among 10,726 people in 13 countries, including 2,391 senior executives.  Research was conducted online using representative panels in the period September 25th to October 9th 2015. Data is weighted to be representative of the online population in each country using variables such as gender, age, education or region, depending on country. Penetrations of online access vary substantially between countries. The survey asks respondents about international travel preparation and medical and personal safety issues experienced abroad. Percentages in the report are based on either the proportion who travel abroad nowadays (7,633 people) or those who have previously travelled abroad (7,663 people).
