Highly contagious, it is reported that the current Ebola outbreak has so far claimed more than 11,222 lives. 

There are currently no licensed Ebola vaccines and we are continuing to help clients and local communities respond to the largest and most complex Ebola outbreak since the Ebola virus was first discovered in 1976. We have implemented disease awareness training for staff, adapted clinic layouts to better handle Ebola cases and developed educational tools that inform clients and local communities about the deadly haemorrhagic fever. We have also taken a lead role in providing timely advice to clients and the wider community in the affected regions.

Organisations not only have a Duty of Care but a legal obligation to protect their employees.

  • Assess and understand the risks of exposure at your destination: We analyse and evaluate any location you are sending your employees to and recommend measures that help mitigate risks. 
  • Educate your travellers before they depart: Through our specialist medical information and education programmes, we help you to prepare your travellers for the local situation as well as advise on measures to take. Our travel advice includes updates on land border closures and flight bans (membership depending); we are currently advising members to defer non-essential travel to affected areas.
  • Around the clock access for your travellers to specific local advice: Our qualified doctors and security specialists are there for your employees, no matter what, where or when.

  • Our Ebola website is free to all.
  • Our Ebola App for mobile devices is available as a free download.
  • We have received 1,700+ Ebola related first calls.
  • These calls have come from around 750 clients since the first request on 5 March 2014.
  • 98% of first calls on Ebola are advice related.
  • We have had 115+ requests from governments, NGOs, health authorities, companies and schools / universities for our educational materials to be made available to them. 
  • Our Ebola education materials are available in 25 languages.
