On 19 September from 12:00 to 13:30, we would like to address the topic "COVID-19 - What has changed in the employer's Duty of Care?" within the Health Management Specialist Group.

Until 2020, it seemed that employers' Duty of Care was largely settled - then the COVID-19 pandemic came along and immediately raised a whole new set of questions. For example, many employers mandate vaccinations and testing - and if so, when? What measures to promote vaccination readiness are legally unproblematic? What should be considered when sending workers to a country with mandatory vaccination and testing?

A new white paper, published by the International SOS Foundation with authors from KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH and Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, outlines the existing legal situation of Duty of Care and finds well-reasoned initial answers to the new questions on this basis.

Speakers:

  • Dr Stefan Eßer, Regional Medical Director, International SOS
  • Tina Nahrath, attorney at law, Senior Manager in the field of labor law
  • Sachka Stefanova-Behlert, LL.M., attorney at law, specialist in labor law, Senior Manager, KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH
  • Silvester Siegmann, MSc, Operational Safety Management, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf
